Good News Stories

Professional Experience Supervising Teacher feedback:

I will just add that we are so incredibly fortunate to have Lisa here as a teacher at The Knox School. Her passion, knowledge and kindness are such incredible personal attributes and our students and teachers are better for having her in our school. It has been so wonderful being a part of the process throughout the placement and the professional conversations and questions we discuss openly are a highlight in my day.

A/Principal feedback of one of our students now a staff member in ACT:

So incredibly fortunate to have xxx as a teacher in our school. Kudos to UNE – producing high quality graduate teachers

Tenders won from the Victorian Department of Education or the Academy for Teaching and Leadership enable the School of Education to maintain the The Michelle Bannister-Tyrrell Memorial Research Scholarship, in honour of Michelle, a dear colleague of many of ours. Michelle sadly passed away on 3 September 2020 of Motor Neurone Disease, way too young. A Senior Lecturer in Gifted and Talented, Michelle left behind her husband, Anthony, two sons and grandchildren.
