Acting Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning

Load

For trimester 2, the faculty is currently (as at 6 May 2025) 1 EFTSL above budget, and 13 EFTSL below the same time last year. The School of Education is running 10 EFTSL up on last year, and 34 EFTSL up on budget; the School of HASS is 23 EFTSL down on last year, and 34 down on budget. The bright spot for HASS is that commencing load for T2 remains up on last year. Education is roughly breaking even on continuing load, and up on commencing load.

Short Courses

The University has approved a short course/microcredential framework. This provides a framework for the governance and creation of short courses. The creation of short courses is, under the current academic workload model, measured as service. If you have a short course idea, approval is to be sought via the HASSE Concept Brief form identified by the Dean at the last Faculty Forum.

Trimester 3 Unit Commendations

The following unit commendations were awarded for T3 2024  teaching to units with high overall student satisfaction that met the response requirements. The great results are a reflection of the commitment of the Faculty in general to teaching excellence. Congratulations to all!
