May 2024 Update

Collection of Teaching Activity Data 2024

Thank you to everyone who has completed the Collection of Teaching Activity Data Survey. We’ve been advised that there are still a large number of units for which there are no responses, and over the coming days I’ll be reaching out to nominated unit coordinators and Heads of Department to follow up on this. A link to the survey can be found here. Nick Sanders is available to troubleshoot and liaise if you have any concerns, and you can email Nick at nsander6@une.edu.au

Getting AskUNE Future Fit

AskUNE currently serves as a repository for answers to common questions posed by prospective and current students. We’re currently working to review the collection of ‘answers’ we provide, to ensure the information is up-to-date. As part of this process, you may receive some communication from me seeking clarification and correction of this information.

National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week

26 May 2024 marks National Sorry Day, and the week following, from 27 May to 3 June, is National Reconciliation Week. National Sorry Day focuses on acknowledging and remembering the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the Stolen Generations, while National Reconciliation Week focuses on the process of Reconciliation in Australia. The theme for 2024’s National Reconciliation Week is ‘Now More Than Ever’, and is designed to serve as a reminder to people that the struggle for justice continues.
