Insight into UNE’s engagement in The Conversation

UNE academic staff regularly write for The Conversation (TC) on their areas of expertise and a quick look at the UNE engagement dashboard shows that, for 2017, 12 articles were submitted by 17 authors for a total of 212,408 reads. The articles received 483 comments.

The infographics also show global reach was predominantly in Australia with the USA in second place followed by the UK in third place. Top republishers include The Independent, IFL Science and Phys.org.

The Corporate Communications team feature these articles in Pulse in “UNE in the News” when they are published. We have also previously invited TC representatives to present seminars on how to write for The Conversation to researchers, academics and postgraduate students. We are currently planning the 2017 seminar scheduled for Tuesday 10 October.
