The Student Progress Tracker is a new application soon to be released to students to help them plan and manage their study activity throughout the trimester. The Student Progress Tracker identifies upcoming assessments and key dates across all enrolled units in the current study period, highlighting potential overlaps and workload spikes.

Research highlights progress tracking as an important design feature that contributes to a students’ sense of purpose and resourcefulness, leading to improved performance and retention (Lizzio, 2006; Wilson et al, 2021). Progress tracking in individual unit was featured in a previous blog post, and builds on the same progress tracking features.

The application is one of the outcomes of the Learning Analytics Project which seeks to improve student outcomes by collecting and analysing data about the learning experience, and by making data available to those who can take actions and make improvements.

Students will be able to access the application via MyUNE using any device where it will display data on all enrolled units in the current study period including detailed assignment and exam information. We will share more information about the student tracker closer to the launch date.
