The 2022 ASCILITE conference was held recently at the University of Sydney and UNE had a very strong presence, showcasing our sector-leading thinking and practice in online and digital education through a range of papers, presentations and awards:

We also saw UNE staff win a number of awards:

  • Kashmira Dave (Education Futures) and her ASCILITE Learning Design SIG colleagues won a research grant for their work on microcredentials
  • Steve Grono, Carmen Schultz and Mike Franklin won the People’s Choice Best Poster award
  • Sue Gregory (HASSE) was retrospectively awarded her Life Member status from 2020

Many other UNE staff also took advantage of our institutional membership to attend the conference and connect with colleagues and ideas right across the sector. Whether presenting, winning an award or building connections over coffee, UNE’s presence at the conference reinforced our position as one of the premier online institutions in Australia and a leader in digitally-enabled learning and teaching practice.

Congratulations to all – an amazing effort from UNE!
