Things I do to put off dementia: (1) Get plenty of exercise. (2) Eat a Mediterranian diet. (3) Keep working. (4) Play mind games — crosswords, Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee. (4) Read books and magazines. (6) Keep socially active. (7) Avoid addictive substances. (8) Keep my weight down. (9) Play tennis, which has body and mind challenges. (10) Keep learning. (11) Do some things, like brush and shave, partly with my non-dominant hand. (12) Keep creating.
