Each year, students in MM200 Managing People and Organisations have the unique opportunity to focus their major assignment on a real life case study. UNE Business School invites the case study organisation onto campus for our annual Guest Lecture, and as always, we’re extending an invitation to UNE Business School students, staff and friends to attend.

This year, we’re pleased to welcome the Oz Medicann Group (OMG), a patient-centred health care company at the forefront of identification, discovery and development of new technologies in the Medicinal Cannabis industry.

Medicinal Cannabis is establishing itself as a growing sector of the health industry. We’ll hear from:

  • Adam Miller on the history of Medicinal Cannabis, the Australian landscape and his entrepreneurial journey with BuddingTech, his own startup in the industry
  • John Leith, Founder & CEO of Oz Medicann Group on the story of OMG and his vision for a sustainable future driven by innovation, use of tech and the importance of professionalizing the industry
  • Lucy Haslam, advocate for Medicinal Cannabis, on her personal experience and why she has set up United in Compassion to support patients in need

Join our MM200 students for this unique public lecture including startup stories about innovating in the medicinal cannabis space, legal considerations of the cannabis plant’s history and continued advocacy, the impact on health and medical sectors and implications and opportunities as an agricultural industry.

UNE Business School with Oz Medicann Group invite UNE staff, students and community to attend what is sure to be an informative and exciting event!
