A quick update on the unit uplift activities of Project Uplift and what you can expect for your Trimester 2 units.
With Tranche 2 of the uplift project (all T1/2024 units) now complete and T1 teaching well underway, we are turning to the planning ofTranche 3, which covers all Trimester 2 units.
The process for the T2 unit uplift will vary depending on when the unit was last offered.
- Any unit last offered in either T3/2023 or T1/2024 will have already been “uplifted” and will go through a site setup process before being handed over to your by the project team prior to T2. There will, of course, still be opportunities to engage with the uplift team on any changes or improvements you have been planning for T2.
- For any unit that has NOT yet been through the uplift process (ie has not been offered since T2/2023 or earlier), the project team will go through an evaluation process with the unit and put together a workplan with uplift activities to align the unit with UNE’s 16 elements and the updated unit layout. We will be in touch with details soon and encourage you to engage with the project team in those discussions, especially if you had plans to review the unit anyway and make changes for T2.
As before, we will follow a similar approach whereby much of the uplift work will be carried out by the project team (Category 1 in the graph below), with some task for the unit coordinator (Category 2). Timelines and scope for other, more in-depth uplift activities (Category 3) will be negotiated on a unit by unit basis.
