From Wednesday, 14th June, Turnitin originality reports will be available with quiz essay questions. Reports are available for both text entered in the answer text area and also for uploaded files and, if enabled, will submit the answer to Turnitin for originality checking. Only essay answers will be uploaded for Turnitin checking.

When a new quiz is created Turnitin will be automatically enabled by default for the quiz and answers to essay questions will be automatically uploaded to Turnitin when the student submits for marking. It is possible to disable/change this setting if it is not appropriate for your essay questions in your quiz, but we recommend that you leave the default settings for the majority of quizzes.

Scores and access to reports for answer text display on the quiz overview page.

Scores and access to reports for files uploaded to essay questions are available on the attempt page.

Note:
Although you may be accustomed to using GradeMark for grading assignments and may see the GradeMark icon alongside quiz answers, students will not be able to access any quiz feedback this way. Please do not use the GradeMark option to give feedback on a quiz, only use the report to review the originality score.
