The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar Program recognises, celebrates and rewards the achievements of our most academically high-achieving students at UNE. To be eligible to be a V-C’s Scholar a student needs to be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree and will have completed a minimum of 24 cps at UNE. The student will have achieved a GPA of 6.7 across the whole of their course to date. V-C’s Scholars are identified at the end of Trimester 1 each year and they remain a scholar for a period of 12 months.

Each year the V-C’s Scholars are invited to nominate an academic staff member who has had an impact or been instrumental in helping them with their studies or achieving their results. This year five of our unit coordinators were nominated: Simon Burgess, Brent Gregory, Shawn Leu, Tony Ramsay and Rene Villano. Together with the students who have been identified as V-C’s Scholars, these academic staff members will be acknowledged at the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar Reception in November.

We look forward to congratulating our students recognised by this program when the list is announced.
