Presented by
Bruce Bonyhady AM
Bruce Bonyhady is the inaugural Chair of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and has been a key driver and architect of the change agenda. He will discuss what can be learnt about bringing about change of such magnitude as has occurred through the NDIS. The shift in public policy and the opportunities available to people with disability marks one of the most fundamental advances in human service history.
Biography: Bruce Bonyhady graduated from UNE in 1976 with a First Class Honours degree in Applied Economics, and was awarded a University Medal and the Edgar H. Booth Memorial Prize and Medal. He gained a Master’s degree in Economics from the Australian National University and has recently been awarded honorary doctorates from Melbourne University and the University of Western Sydney. Bruce has been Chairman and Managing Director of ANZ Investments, Executive Vice President and Head of the International Division of BT Funds Management, Managing Director of NM Funds Management (Europe) Limited, and a Director of Syntec Economic Services. He is the former Chair of Philanthropy Australia.
