It’s that time again!

University of Queensland’s 3 Minute Thesis competition (3MT) comes around every year and UNE Business School will again have some strong competitors, taking advantage of the excellent communication and professional development opportunity for HDR candidates.

Developed by UQ in 2008, the 3MT exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

Professor Oscar Cacho will be organising the in-School event to take place in late July, with the finalist representing UNE Business School for the final, to be held this year in Lewis Lecture Theatre on September 14, 2016.

The event will kick off at 11am and feature PhD students from all Schools across campus, who will compete against each other for a spot in the 3MT Asia-Pacific Final, co-ordinated by UQ.

UNE Business School event to be held 17 August at 3pm – location to be confirmed closer to time.
