Final tutorial of MM110 students – 3 groups present their marketing plans for original products.

UNE Business School students on campus students enroled in MM110 Fundamentals of Marketing had their chance to shine over the past 2 weeks – today’s last group went out with a bang & some great ideas! MM110 is one of our bigger undergrad units, with around 400 students, both on campus and online, this Trimester. Students formed groups to present their product and the marketing strategy it would require in order to ensure their product’s success.

We saw presentations on everything from macrowaves and coffee maker alarm clocks to hungover cures and blood alcohol count apps to vaccine coolers and new cattle pregnancy testing options. Students covered a broad range of fundamental marketing knowledge, from market segmentation and pricing strategies, to advertising and PR campaigning, to growth strategy and product life cycles.

MM110 students present the eDesk – an interactive desk interface.

We had some great performers in matching outfits, some creative prototypes and some fantastic ideas that had us convinced to invest in the prototypes – we’ll be keeping an eye on where these students take their ideas next – the UNE SMART Region Incubator, perhaps?

Congratulations on such solid presentations, and best of luck with your exams next week!
