UNE Business School’s own UNE SMART Region Incubator was recently honoured by a nomination that put them in the finalist group for the Tamworth Business Chamber’s Quality Business Awards in the Excellence in Innovation category.
Sue-Ellen Hogan, Centre Coordinator at UNE Tamworth Centre which also includes the UNE SMART Region Incubator’s Tamworth campus, attended the 4 August event at Tamworth regional Entertainment Centre. She was accompanied by UNE staff – Dr Donella Piper and Dr Lou Conway from UNE Business School with Mr Trevor Goldstone, Pro Vice-Chancellor External Relations (PVC ER) and Mr Peter Rasmussen, Project Manager with the Office of the PVC ER.
The UNE Tamworth Centre was also a finalist for Excellence in Customer Service – Employment, Education and Training.
On the night, Excellence in Innovation went to BAE systems. The award for Excellence in Customer Service – Employment, Education and Training went to Goodstart Early Learning.
UNE also sponsored two awards on the evening – Young Business Executive, won by Kellie Mackney, and Young Entrepreneur, won by Jane Brennan. See the full list via Tamworth Business Chamber’s website.
