Dr Boyd Blackwell – Principal Research Leader (Enduring Community Value from Mining) – and Mr Jim McFarlane (Postgraduate student, UNE Business School) have been chosen by the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) to undertake a review of the social and economic modelling work being undertaken for the Northern Basin in the determination of sustainable diversion limits.
Their team also includes expert advice provide by Mr Richard Stayner from the Institute for Rural Futures. A draft review report will be provided by the end of June with a final report due in the middle of July.
