Professor Alison Sheridan attended the EFMD (The Management Development Network ) Annual Conference in Rome from 12-14 June.

This year’s conference theme was “Collaboration, Creativity & Change”, with record numbers – more than 480 delegates attended from universities across the world.

“The conference was hosted by Luiss Business School, and one of the most interesting sessions I attended was on Luiss En Labs, a startup accelerator based in the heart of Rome, and certified by the Italian Government. Luiss En Labs emerged from the Luiss Business School’s commitment to supporting their graduates’ entrepreneurial ideas. Participants in their startups and acceleration programs are not limited to Luiss students and the accelerator is now operated by LVenture Group, a publicly listed venture capital company that provides startups with funding and networks. The opportunities to connect students, ideas, capital and networks espoused through the presentation prompted ideas for such opportunities in regional Australia.
