In October Dr Leopold Bayerlein visited the Technische Hochschule Nuernberg (THN), Germany to collect data on a joint research project between the UNE Business School and the THN.

The project, which is funded through a research grant of the State Government of Bavaria, Germany aims to evaluate the THN whole of institutional transition from traditional face-to-face learning and teaching to a blended education model. The project focuses on the identification and description of institutional settings that support such a transformation encompasses a knowledge transfer element between several Australian Universities and the THN.

In November, Prof Susanne Weissman (Vice-President for Digitalisation and Blended Learning at the THN) visited Australia to join Dr Bayerlein for a series of knowledge transfer focused conversations with members of the Senior Executive at UNE, Deakin University and La Trobe University.
