Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) visit

Dr. Nam Hoang and professor Steve Walkden-Brown from ERS visited Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) to set-up links between UNE and HUAF for a new ACIAR project from 16-19, Nov 2017.  An UNE alumni meeting was held at the university. There are 3 UNE alumni who are now prominent professors at HUAF.

ACIAR North West Vietnam Research Symposium

Dr. Nam Hoang and professor Steve Walkden-Brown from ERS attended this symposium on Nov 21 and 22,  2017, with each presenting a poster on Nov 21 on some of the results of ACIAR SRA LPS/2016/027 project. The symposium was a significant affair with full proceedings in English and Vietnamese and approximately 300 delegates with real-time translation of presentations. It was an excellent opportunity to find out more about ACIAR policy in general and in Vietnam in particular, learn about research outcomes and meet ACIAR researchers with deep experience of working in Vietnam.
