Dr Justin Field – UNE Business School
Justin has over two decades of experience in the information technology sector. He started his career implementing software for customers in the oil and gas, financial services, higher education and transportation sectors. He moved to research and development, designing software modules for competency/profile management and performance management, within an integrated talent management suite. Now, he is a skilled organisational development practitioner with interests in coaching, talent management, performance management and HR analytics. Justin has been associated with the University of New England since 2010. He completed a Master of Organisational Development and Strategic Human Resource Management, followed by a Master of Business Administration. In 2017, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree. His topic was “Crafting careers in a technology-enabled flexible work environment”. He lectures in Strategic Human Resource Management and is a member of the UNE Business School’s Course Advisory Board.
Ms Gayle Dickerson – Partner KPMG
Gayle is a Partner at KPMG, focused on turnaround, restructuring and insolvency. Over 15 years of experience, in both the UK and Australia. She is a registered insolvency practitioner, NSW Committee member of the Turnaround Management Association and a member of ARITA. She has acted in a range of corporate insolvency, restructuring and advisory matters. Gayle acts for a range of stakeholders including corporates, Government, lenders, employees and shareholders. Gayle is a key Partner in KPMG’s multi-disciplinary Retail and Consumer markets team and regularly contributes to thought leadership and media on the retail challenges and opportunities in the rapidly changing environment. Gayle is a co-founder of the annual Innovation in Retail Summit, Board member of the Australian Sports’ Retailers Association and talent network mentor for the national Online Retailers’ Association. Her roles range from informal advisory through to insolvency appointments including, recently being appointed as Receiver of a 100 store fast fashion apparel business.
Mr John Watters – Chief Executive AusSIP
John is the Executive Officer of AusSIP, a NFP that works with over 300+ businesses to assist more than 3500 senior students explore the world of work through work placement as part of their HSC. Additionally, the AusSIP team has case managed more than 600 students explore their careers through industry engagement and mentoring programs. With a background in secondary education, John left teaching in an attempt to bridge the chasm between business and education. Never afraid to challenge the status quo, he has spoken at multiple conferences and business forums both locally, interstate and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, Master of HR and an MBA.
