Last week, Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall visited UNE Business School to announce the award of $1 million in state funding to establish the UNE SMART Region Incubator.

The Incubator will be key to driving innovative ideas of entrepreneurs in local industry and beyond, providing resources including access to data, as well as experience and input from UNE academic staff.

Also present at the announcement event were Professor Sue Thomas as Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Alison Sheridan – Head of UNE Business School, Professor Derek Baker – Director of the Centre for Agribusiness, and comments were also made by Minister for Small Business, John Barilaro.
