This Saturday 1st April from 12:30pm, a large group of students from the colleges, UNE International students and UNE staff will be marching and representing the university as the parade moves through the streets of the Armidale CBD.

UNE is encouraging our Armidale based staff and community to come and support our UNE floats that will be participating in the parade and we are looking for staff volunteers.

If you have a green UNE shirt or any other UNE branded items, please feel free to wear them proudly, or even represent your degree or faculty as you wish. Feel free to have some fun!

This is the first time in a number of years that Armidale Regional Council has hosted the parade, and around 42 floats have registered to participate in the parade.

The day will also include a range of activities in Civic Park and the Mall including breakfast with the band, a Mass Pipe Band performance, food trucks, market stalls and amusement rides.

For those who would like to be involved in this annual event, you will be required to be ready on Saturday by 12:15pm for 12:30pm start, and the Parade should only take an hour.

If you would like to volunteer to represent UNE and have some fun in the process, please contact Shannon in the Fleet Logistics team at vms@une.edu.au. She has extra green UNE shirts available.
