A special pastures field day will be held at UNE SMART Farms, Toombs pasture technology site and Kirby improved pasture paddocks, in conjunction with the Northern Pastures Group and PGG Wrightson Seeds on Thursday, 26 November from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The Northern Pastures Group is focused on restoring pasture productivity in the Northern Tablelands and the purpose of this event is to demonstrate aspects of pasture improvement on the UNE SMART Farms relevant to this theme.

  • Pasture breeding
  • Pasture renovation programs
  • Managing improved pasture systems

Speakers to include:  

  1. PGG Wrightson Seeds Research Agronomist, Laughlan Stewart
  2. UNE SMART Farms Manager, Paul Arnott, and
  3. Northern Tablelands Pastures Group coordinator Lu Hogan
