Midlife is an extremely important time for health now and in the future. Whether you are in midlife now or that is still to come. It is not too early to think about your health. Taking control of your metabolism, weight, fitness and stress now will have a long-term impact.

Would you like to experience learning about nutrition, exercise and mindfulness that supports busy people? We are looking for women, 40-59 years old, who would like to be a part of a self-selective study about mid-life health and menopause, that offers information about nutrition, exercise and mindfulness. There is no cost involved, this is all being part of a research study. All we need is your email address to begin.

This program will be:

  • Four weeks or eight weeks long (participant’s choice). You may repeat the program.
  •  There are 3 areas of interest to the program:
  1. The nutrition is based in biochemistry and traditional dietary concepts (including local, seasonal, homemade, but quick and easy cooking methods).
  2. Many types of exercise and activities will be explored, so everyone can participate.
  3. The information on mindfulness, will start with a guided meditation program, as well as many other activities that may be used daily for busy people.

You may choose to look at all the content, or the areas that are pertinent you. Participants will need to fill out 2 questionnaires during the program and one 6 months later. There will be an online diary to keep your progress of the nutrition, exercise and mindfulness changes you make. This is self-paced and used to support positive change.

The program starts February 14th, 2018 and it is best to sign up early as there are a limited number of places available.

Trish is currently undertaking her PhD in the School of Science and Technology at University of New England. The project has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of New England Approval Number: HE17-250, Valid to 01/01/2019.
