Mr Vanlalvawna is standing to the left of PVC ER Trevor Goldstone

UNE excellence in agriculture has attracted the attention of the Consul General of India in Sydney, Mr Shri B Vanlalvawna who is keen to explore future opportunities for collaboration in education, research and business with UNE.

The PVC External Relations Trevor Goldstone hosted the delegation who were very impressed with the  Natural History Museum and the Ag Education Building. Mr Vanlalvawna also met with Prof. David Lamb to discuss innovation in agriculture; with Dr Eliza Kent on HRD students and with Pete Fitzgerald on training worldwide.

The meeting resulted in a resolution to work with Consulate staff to achieve a stronger level of connection with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector in India. A follow-up meeting will be arranged to discuss possible deliverables in the near future.

Trevor also attended the meeting of the Consul General and his staff with the Armidale Business Chamber, which was mainly around how Armidale business can examine and take up opportunities to do business, or more business, in India.
