The Centre for Agribusiness has been operating since July 2016 and has focused on the research areas of:

  • Supply chain information systems.
  • Decision tools.
  • Commercialisation of science.

This seminar session presents a selection of the Centre’s completed, current and planned work for discussion in an informal environment.  Its goal is to identify opportunities for partnership, resource mobilisation, and increased impact.

Derek Baker is Professor of Agribusiness and Value Chains, and Director of the Centre for Agribusiness at UNE Business School, University of New England. His research interests are in measurement and analysis of food industry performance, particularly in the development of empirical value chain analysis. Derek has worked in the private and public sectors of food, farm and primary industry in over 40 countries.
