Your Place, Our Country: Urban Perspectives (Photography Competition)

UNE Library and the Oorala Aboriginal Centre are running a photography competition. Entries are open from Monday 10 July to Sunday 20 August. This year the theme is Urban Perspectives.

UNE students study in rural and urban environments all across Australia. Discover the First Nations’ Country on which you study and share your story with us.

Enter this competition by submitting an original photograph of your ‘place’. In less than 100 words explain how this image captures your connection to Country. Include the name of the First Nations’ Country and the local council (shire, region or city) for your chance to win.

Winners will receive;

  • a $100 voucher from the UNE Bookshop
  • an A3 print of your winning image
  • a copy of local Armidale photographer Terry Cooke’s book ”Mount Duval”.
  • the opportunity to have your work exhibited on campus and online.

Visit our webpage for further details and to submit your entry.
