Through the month of May, UNE Student Counselling and Psychological Services will be running a series of workshops on-campus, with several of these also to be recorded via Zoom and made available afterward.

These sessions will be completely free and there is no need to book, you’ll just need to bring along some note-taking materials. 

Dates, time and location information is available below and any session marked with an asterisk will be recorded. Further detail about how to access the recordings will be forthcoming. 

 

Study Gym, Wednesday May 8th30 to 12.30, Dixson Library Letters Room*

This workshop explores how you become your own personal trainer to: improve concentration & memory, stay calm & engaged, to use time effectively& be balanced.

 

Exam Prep, Wednesday May 15th 2 to 3pm, Dixson Library Letters Room*

This workshop explores exam preparation strategies and your exam “game plan”

 

Time Management, Thursday May 16th, 1 to 2pm, Duval Conference Room (College Training Centre), Cnr Meredith Rd. and Elm Avenue

This workshop requires students to bring any existing study plan and adapt it or create a new one based on strategies discussed in the session

 

Assertive Communication, Thursday May 16th 3 to 5pm, Dixson Library Letters Room

This workshop focuses on 4 common communication styles and the benefits of assertive communication. There will be opportunities to practice skills using Animal Assisted Therapy.
