As you move through Trimester 1 you may be considering possible units for Trimester 2 and Trimester 3.

THEA360: Pitches and Partners, also available at postgraduate level as THEA560 is a new unit designed for students enrolled in a range of courses, including Business, Management, Organisational Behaviour, Law, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Pitches and Partners aims to develop your entrepreneurial tool kit by extending your capacity to seek and secure successful partnerships for your enterprise, company, independent practice or non-profit organisation.

In this unit, students explore different models of partnership and learn how to develop, structure and present a fully articulated business pitch to a potential partner.  Students will advance their capacity to develop and deliver business proposals that ‘cut-through’ to investors. They will apply entrepreneurial ideas to real world contexts in order to: communicate brand value, attract a business partner, exercise leadership and secure investment in a business or non-profit organisation.

The advanced oral and written presentation skills that are developed in this unit in relation to pitching business ideas are life-long skills that will help you in a range of fields. The unit is specifically designed to be cross-disciplinary, broad ranging in scope, practical and enjoyable.

THEA360/560 Pitches and Partners is a listed unit in a large number of courses in the Schools of Business and other Schools across UNE.

If you would like to obtain further information about this unit or wish to discuss it with the Unit Coordinator, contact Professor Anne Pender anne.pender@une.edu.au  02 6773 3248.
