Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to colleagues who attended the recent full-day L&T symposium on 17 July.  Academic Development is organising three Symposia this year, of which the first two have been concluded. Presentations in all symposia are recorded and made available through the symposium website.

Some of the interesting facts about July symposium:

  • Registrants: 130 colleagues from 10 different universities
  • Attendees: 91 unique participants attended the symposium
  • Total attendance time in minutes: 17,319 Mins  (that means 288.65 hrs of collective attendance)
  • Keynote: 1 (DVC Indigenous, WSU)
  • Number of presentations: 17
  • Dignitaries: 4 (VC, DVC and EP (Education futures), Director, Digital Education)

All sessions are recorded and will be available on Symposium website by the end of this week.

Symposium 2026 Dates (Save in your diaries)

  • First half-day L&T Symposium: 9 April 2026, at 9.30 am to 12:30 pm
  • Full day L&T Symposium: 6 July 2026, at 9 am to 4 pm
  • Second half day symposium: 5 Oct 2026, at 9.30 am to 12:30 pm
