2025 Dashboard Roadshow Schedule Released

After a great response from staff last year, the BI team will again be walking interested staff members through a selection of BI’s dashboards on a regular basis. These will be short sessions where BI will demonstrate the features and functionality of our dashboards, along with time for you to ask any questions you may have. The Power of Genuine Cross Functional Collaboration: Delivering the Course Review Dashboard

Collaboration is often spoken about as a cornerstone of success, but it is truly realised when teams come together with a shared vision, leveraging their expertise to solve real challenges. A recent UNE project—the development of the Course Review Dashboard—has been a shining example of how effective cross-functional collaboration leads to tangible benefits. 

The Business Intelligence & Analytics Team, represented by Megan Chittenden and Rob Wood, worked closely with the Educational Quality Directorate (EQD) team (Julie Hunter, Simon Ostler, Sura Alani, Sue Birchall under the leadership of the EP Education Future, Sue Crew) to create a solution that significantly improves efficiency and reduces manual effort. This dashboard will not only streamline the process for the EQD team but also enhances the experience for Course Coordinators (CCs) and the Curriculum and Academic Management (CAM) team, ultimately ensuring smoother course reviews. 

The impact of this work cannot be overstated. Previously, significant time and effort were required to collate data manually—a process that placed considerable pressure on Sura and the EQD team. With the new dashboard in place, these challenges are dramatically reduced, freeing up valuable time and minimizing stress. The result is an improved workflow, better user experience, and more seamless access to critical information.
