UNE is modernising its graduation process, ensuring a faster, more flexible path for students completing their studies. From 2025 onwards, rolling conferrals will allow students to graduate as soon as they meet their academic requirements, removing unnecessary delays.
Graduation ceremonies will now be held twice per year, in May and October, replacing the previous three-round model. This will allow for a more cohesive, large-scale celebration while maintaining UNE’s commitment to honouring student achievements.
Looking ahead to May 2026, UNE is introducing Graduation Week, an exciting initiative that will transform the traditional ceremony into a week-long festival of events, networking opportunities, and celebrations in partnership with the Armidale community. This event will highlight UNE’s deep connection to the region while offering graduates and their families an unforgettable experience.
