Celebrate the Armidale Autumn Festival on 4 & 5 April
Armidale’s signature celebration of autumn is back, and this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. On Saturday 5 April, floats and cultural festivities will take entre stage as the Armidale Autumn Festival kicks off.
UNE International will be an integral part of this much-loved community tradition, helping to celebrate the diversity that makes our region so vibrant. International students are invited to wear traditional attire and join the march through Armidale’s CBD, or simply come along and cheer – contact international@une.edu.au for more information.

Following the parade, head over to Civic Park for the Global Gathering, an afternoon of cultural performances, music, and dance. From Bollywood beats to Pacifica rhythms, this showcase will highlight the incredible diversity of Armidale’s community.

Other exciting events include:
- Freedom Formation Aerobatic Display – Look to the skies at 11:45 am for a breathtaking aerobatic performance over the CBD by the Freedom Formation, the southern hemisphere largest formation aerobatic display team, to be held on Saturday, 5 April
- Market Stalls & Food Trucks – From 11 am, enjoy a feast of local and international flavours at Civic Park.
- Campus to City Canter – Start the day with a 5 km fun run from SportUNE to Civic Park, kicking off at 8 am.
