All UNE staff – professional and academic – are cordially invited and enthusiastically encouraged to process at one or more of the Graduation ceremonies being held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of December 2024. Actively participating in graduation ceremonies is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the successes of our graduands and to connect in-person with colleagues from across the University.

Inclement weather
Ceremonies will take place in Lazenby Hall if the weather is inclement. The decision to move into Lazenby Hall is made on the morning of the ceremony. Robing will still take place in Booloominbah and members of the Chancellor’s Procession and the Academic & Professional Staff Procession will be transported to Lazenby Hall by bus.
Academic Dress
The dress standard for the procession is academic dress. Academics and Professional staff are asked to supply their own academic dress. If you need to hire academic dress from UNE Life, this should be arranged at least two weeks in advance of the ceremony. Your gown hire is covered by the University for UNE staff participating in the Academic & Professional Staff Procession.
