Congratulations to Dr Sally Larsen who has been named the 2023 recipient of the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) Early Career Researcher Award. The Award recognised her outstanding conference paper titled Are Australian students’ academic skills declining? Interrogating 25 years of national and international standardised assessment data. Sally joins Dr Somayeh Ba Akhlagh who was the recipient of this award last year.
The AARE Early Career Researcher Award recognises an outstanding conference paper by an early career researcher presented at the annual AARE Conference. AARE established this award specifically to encourage early career researchers to present their research at the annual conference and to become actively involved in the Association. Applicants are judged on originality; relevance; conceptual, methodological and theoretical soundness; disciplined, focused and persuasive argument; coherent organisation and clarity of written expression; and comprehensive reference to appropriate literature.
