A message from UNE Life – vending machines
Please note that from Monday April 3rd, vending machines at the Armidale campus will no longer accept cash as payment.
There has been a significant reduction in the use of cash in these machines since the commencement of the COVID-19 pandemic and wider efforts to reduce the circulation of notes and coins throughout communities.
We expect that the removal of cash as a payment option will see a reduction in the number of cash-related faults that customers have been experiencing when using the machines generally. “Tap and go” options such as mobile phone and wearables will continue to be offered.
As always, for any issues with vending machines please continue to email unelifevending@une.edu.au
Does this mean that the vending machines will waive the eftpos fee?
I don’t believe you are attempting to remove legal tender from the system.
A distinctly woke move.
Please respect the broader population.
Does this mean that the eftpos surcharge will be removed?
