As part of Project Uplift, Education Futures is hosting the Uplift Festival on 30th November 2022. A vibrant in-person event in the TDS building (C34), the Uplift Festival is an exciting way to finish out 2022, bringing together people and practices from across the university to celebrate digital innovation in learning and teaching.

The Uplift Festival is designed to highlight the amazing digital innovation already happening at UNE, while also exploring the opportunities for new user experiences that Project Uplift and myLearn will offer. Sessions will showcase some of UNE’s sector-leading practices in 3D and 360 media, video and VR, as well as sparking ideas and exploring potential for new experiences that will be enabled in our new digital ecosystem. Learn from colleagues, share ideas, develop new skills and connect with a range of UNE people in an uplifting environment.

Held as a full-day multi-stream event, the program features a range of scheduled immersive activities, demonstrations and showcase presentations alongside open displays – book in for specific sessions, or just drop in whenever you’re free.

Program sessions include:

  • Hands-on workshops – H5P, video editing, rich media OLX
  • Showcase presentations on a range of media and innovation in learning, teaching and outreach
  • Technology demonstrations and immersive displays in 3D scanning, VR headsets, the Igloo and more
  • Tours of the media studios, including the Lightboard studio

Coffee, morning tea and lunch will be available (registration required for catering purposes). You’ll also be able to pick up project merchandise, such as keep cups (perfect for your morning coffee now that UNE Life has phased out single-use cups) and a limited number of T-shirts.

Register now via the event page – some sessions have limited numbers so book early to avoid missing out: https://projectuplift.une.edu.au/events/uplift-festival-2022/
