In addition to the 2nd flu shot clinic at the UNE Medical Centre on Saturday 14th May, there will be a drop-in clinic for staff and students in Armidale held in the Dixson Library on Monday 23rd May 2022, between 9:30am – 4:30pm. No appointment necessary.
Vaccinations are available to all full-time, part-time and casual staff working on campus or off campus.
This year, it’s even more important to get the influenza vaccine as we are more vulnerable to influenza. This is due to lower recent exposure to the virus and lower uptake of influenza vaccines in 2021 (Department of Health, 2022).
Please note important information below:
- Please bring your Medicare card and your Staff ID card
- You will need to bring and wear a mask for the duration of your appointment.
- If you’re on leave during this time you are still able to attend and receive your flu vaccination.
- Staff over the age of 65 will need to attend their GP to receive the flu vaccine that is specifically designed to produce a higher immune response (Fluad Quad).
- Be mindful of what you wear on the day. Please wear shirts or tops that can be easily slid up at the top of the arm.
- Please DO NOT ATTEND if you are experiencing any flu or COVID like symptoms.
