UNE engages third parties to assist in the delivery of some of our units and courses, so that we can offer greater breadth in our offerings, or provide regional access to students as part of our place-based education strategy. Under these arrangements, we have an obligation to ensure the quality of our students’ experiences is comparable to if we have been delivering those courses or units directly. There are also additional legislative obligations for third party arrangements under TEQSA/HESF requirements. It is vitally important that, before a third party education provider arrangement is established, you are aware of the approval process and quality assurance accountabilities required to manage the arrangement.
New procedures that provide this guidance in establishing and managing a third party arrangement are now published in the UNE Policy Register at Academic Quality Assurance – Annexure – Third Party Education Provider Agreement Procedures / Document / UNE Policy Register
