We welcome UNE’s new Head of Strategic Procurement (and Robb College alumna), Fiona Harrison

What is your connection to Armidale and to UNE?
I attended high school in Armidale and was a student of Arts at UNE a very long time ago now!
 
What has brought you back to Armidale?
The opportunity of this role came up and I felt it was the right time to move regionally and enjoy the cooler climate!

What struck you about the UNE campus compared with you were a student here? 
There are definitely more buildings and the shop is new. There are some areas that remain the same, such as the Library and Lazenby Hall.

Why UNE?
I always enjoyed my time Armidale and UNE. The opportunity offered a full circle approach from student to staff member which I think will be interesting and also a challenge.

What is your professional area of expertise?
I have worked within Procurement for the last twenty plus years across both the public and private sector, as well as corporations and not for profit organisations.

What are your interests away from work? 
I enjoy golf, entertaining and sport (Sydney Roosters…)
