UNE staff member, Muriel Dell submitted this good news story about the appropriately named Phoenix. Phoenix was found abandoned and severely burnt in remote bushland by Muriel’s husband, a frontline firefighter. His paws, nose and ears were badly burned and he had no whiskers left. 

Phoenix spent a week in a veterinary hospital being treated for his wounds before returning home with Muriel to recuperate. He has since recovered and is loving working from home. “He’s a real gentleman and a wonderful colleague,” says Muriel.
