Congratulations to Dr Bronwyn Hopwood who has been appointed as the Australasian Ambassador for Lego Classicists.
Lego Classicists combines history and pop-art to engage with the art and culture of the ancient world and the people who study it. The Classicists are the work of historical archivist Liam D. Jensen, whose Lego figure portraits honour scholars and others in the area of ancient art and culture.
Dr Hopwood, who is also the curator of UNE’s Museum of Antiquities, was made a member of the Lego Classicists family in August 2017 when Jensen visited UNE to deliver an engraving collection to the museum.
Humanity, Arts and Social Sciences colleagues, Professor Lloyd Weeks and Professor Greg Horsley, were similarly honoured with Lego portraits.
