Vice-Chancellor Annabelle Duncan attended a function with the Bhutanese community on the weekend. She is pictured with student Dolay Tshering and his family. Dolay was awarded a scholarship under an agreement between UNE and the Bhutan Department of Education (DoE) and moved to Armidale earlier this year to commence his studies. Under the agreement UNE offers two  masters scholarships to Bhutanese DoE staff for professional development. Dolay is the first recipient of this scholarship. His research is focused on the effect of Australian education on Bhutan.
