Last week, 10 academic and seven professional staff from across the university presented their final projects to an audience of their peers and supervisors, on a range of topics from the merits of online learning and innovation through to interpersonal communication and psychological wellbeing. The presentations were a culmination of their learning and passion for particular concepts applied to an action learning project. The action learning project groups saw participants working with colleagues from across occupations, disciplines and faculties.
Linda Scott (Primed Consulting – pictured far right) facilitated the three-month long leadership program for staff identified as future leaders here at UNE. The workshop modules covered during the program were leading change, agile and resilient teams, and enduring partnerships. Program participants practiced the skills learnt in each module through the use of ‘real-plays’ that involved an external actor and scenarios specifically designed for participants to replicate real work situations.
The Leading & Managing @ UNE program will commence again in July 2019.
