The University of New England unveiled portraits of former Chancellor, the Honourable John Watkins AM, and former Vice-Chancellor Jim Barber last week at a cocktail event held in Booloominbah.

The Mr Watkins, who attended the event, was appointed Chancellor in 2013 before standing down from the role in June 2014.

Professor Jim Barber was Vice-Chancellor and CEO of UNE for four years. He announced his resignation in 2014 to focus on his interests in online learning and education innovation.
