The Honorary Degrees, Titles and Tributes Committee of Council is calling for nominations for the awards listed below to be considered at the 4 May 2018 meeting:

• Emeritus Professor
• Distinguished Professor
• Honorary Doctorate
• Distinguished Fellow
• Distinguished Service Medal

Please refer to the Honorary Titles and Awards Rule and Honorary Titles and Awards Procedures for information about eligibility requirements and the relevant nomination processes.

Also note that nominations for the above awards are confidential and should not be discussed with the potential nominees.  An important step towards nominating a candidate for an award is to ensure the proposed nomination is received by the Vice-Chancellor’s office for consideration and endorsement.  You can submit a brief outline of the proposed nomination to Secretariat (secretariat@une.edu.au) who will forward the details on to the Vice-Chancellor, or you can send direct to the Vice-Chancellor’s office (vcadministration@une.edu.au).

Once endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor and for nominations to be considered at the 4 May 2018 meeting, a formal submission should be prepared and provided to the Secretariat (secretariat@une.edu.au) by 13 April 2018.
