Every year, the Australian Academy of the Humanities offers a series of prestigious grants and awards that promote excellence in the humanities and support the next generation of scholars and practitioners.
In 2018 they are offering the following:
- Medal for Excellence in Translation: major national award recognising outstanding achievement in translation and the vital role of translators and translation in Australian culture and scholarly discourse.
- Max Crawford Medal: Australia’s most prestigious award for excellence and promise by an early career humanities scholar.
- Humanities Travelling Fellowships of up to $4000 for early career researchers to undertake research overseas.
- Publication Subsidy Scheme: supporting quality scholarly publication, including the Sir Frederick and Peter White Fund for archaeological publications.
