At the ERA conference on 6 November), Ms Rahn won the prize for Best Full Paper, while another UNE student, Mike Franklin, also from BCSS, was runner-up.
In addition, she won a bursary to attend the conference. Her conference paper has been peer-reviewed and published in the conference proceedings.
The AAG is the premier Australian organisation in the field of ageing, and at the AAG conference (8-10 November), Ms Rahn presented in the newly created ‘Student & Early Career Showcase’, where the top-rated abstracts from students and early career researchers/practitioners are showcased.
She also received the Australian Association of Gerontology’s Arthur Everitt Award for the highest quality abstract from a student.
Congratulations Alison and Mike.
