Representing UNE, Associate Professor Lily Pereg of the School of Science and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Miguel Hernandez University (MHU) in Elche, Spain.

Signing the MOU beween UNE and Miguel Hernandez University (MHU) in Elche, Spain: Prof Fuensanta Garcia-Orenes (MHU), A/Prof Lily Pereg (UNE), Prof Vincente Micol Molina (MHU Vice-Rector for International Relationship), Prof Jordan Vidal Manuel Miguel (MHU Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation).

UNE and MHU have shared interests in environmental sciences and agriculture, but it is hoped that the MOU will lead to other avenues of collaboration between the institutions.

A/Prof Pereg, a microbiologist, has been on an extended visit to Europe that included organising sessions on soil science at the European Geoscience Union annual assembly (EGU2017).
