Companion of the Order of Australia

  • The Honourable Justice Stephen Gageler for eminent service to the law and to the judiciary through contributions in the areas of constitutional, public, international, common and criminal law, to legal reform, education and academic discourse, and to professional organisations.

Member of the Order of Australia

  • The late Emeritus Professor Larry Smith – Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the vocational education and training sector, through leadership and research roles, and to professional organisations.
  • Mr Philip Glendenning – Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the community through social welfare organisations, as an advocate for human rights, and to education.
  • Dr Sue-Anne Wallace – Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the not-for-profit sector, particularly through charitable fundraising reform and establishing codes of practice.
  • Professor Robert Stimson – Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to science as a researcher and academic, particularly in the discipline of analytical human geography.
  • Colonel Simon Tuckerman – Member (AM) in the Military Division of the Order of Australia for outstanding leadership and commitment as the Commander of 1st Joint Movement Group and during his deployment on Operation ACCORDION as the Director Support within Joint Task Force 633.

  • Mrs Georgene McKenzie-Hicks – Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia in the General Division for service to the international community, and to the Uniting Church Australia.
